Terms of service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Harbor Appliance website and your purchase of products from Harbor Appliance.
By visiting our website, creating an account, submitting an order, or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website or purchase from us.
1. About Harbor Appliance
Harbor Appliance sells replacement parts and related products for appliance and commercial laundry equipment. Products may include new, used, tested, refurbished, aftermarket, and original equipment manufacturer ("OEM") components.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, Harbor Appliance is an independent seller and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the manufacturers whose names, trademarks, model numbers, or part numbers may appear on our website.
Manufacturer names and part numbers are used for product identification and compatibility purposes.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to place an order through our website.
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing, shipping, payment, and contact information.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders that appear fraudulent, unauthorized, inaccurate, or otherwise violate these Terms.
3. Product Information
We make reasonable efforts to accurately describe the products offered on our website.
Product photographs, specifications, compatibility information, model numbers, manufacturer part numbers, descriptions, and other information are provided for reference.
Because manufacturers may revise or supersede parts over time, appearance, labeling, packaging, or minor specifications may differ from photographs while remaining functionally equivalent where specifically stated.
Customers are responsible for verifying that the product ordered is appropriate for their equipment before installation.
If you are uncertain about compatibility, please contact Harbor Appliance before purchasing.
4. New, Used, and Refurbished Products
Product condition will be identified on the applicable product page.
Products may be sold as:
New
New old stock
Open box
Used
Tested used
Refurbished
Aftermarket
Used products may show cosmetic wear, scratches, discoloration, residue, markings, or other evidence of previous installation or operation.
Such cosmetic conditions do not necessarily affect functionality and are not considered defects when reasonably consistent with the product description.
Photos may represent the exact item or a representative example depending on the listing.
5. Used and Tested Parts
When a product is described as tested, Harbor Appliance represents that the product was subjected to the testing process reasonably available to us before shipment.
Testing does not guarantee the remaining service life of a used component.
Used equipment components naturally have varying levels of wear and remaining lifespan.
Any warranty or guarantee applicable to a tested used product will be stated on the product page or in our Return & Refund Policy.
6. Compatibility and Diagnosis
The customer is responsible for correctly diagnosing the equipment and verifying compatibility before ordering.
Matching a part number or model number does not necessarily guarantee that a component will correct the customer's equipment problem.
Harbor Appliance is not responsible for incorrect diagnoses made by customers, technicians, service companies, or third parties.
Purchasing a replacement part does not guarantee that the part will resolve a machine malfunction.
7. Installation
Many products sold by Harbor Appliance are intended for installation by qualified service professionals.
Electrical, mechanical, gas, and commercial laundry equipment may present risks of serious injury, property damage, fire, electrical shock, or equipment damage if improperly serviced.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are installed correctly and in accordance with applicable manufacturer instructions, laws, regulations, and safety requirements.
Harbor Appliance is not responsible for damage resulting from:
Improper installation
Incorrect wiring
Incorrect voltage
Incorrect equipment diagnosis
Installation into incompatible equipment
Modification of a product
Improper handling
Failure of another component
Improper maintenance
Unauthorized repair procedures
8. Electrical and Electronic Components
Special care should be taken when purchasing electrical and electronic components, including control boards, inverters, motors, timers, sensors, ignition modules, displays, switches, and door-lock assemblies.
A malfunction elsewhere in a machine may damage a replacement electronic component.
Customers should diagnose and correct the underlying equipment problem before installing replacement electronics.
Installed electrical or electronic components may be subject to additional return restrictions described in our Return & Refund Policy.
9. Prices
All prices are displayed in the currency indicated on the website and are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at any time.
If a product has been incorrectly priced, we may cancel the affected order and issue a full refund.
Prices do not necessarily include taxes, shipping charges, duties, or other fees unless specifically stated.
10. Orders
Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance.
Harbor Appliance reserves the right to:
Accept or reject an order
Limit quantities
Cancel suspected fraudulent orders
Correct inventory errors
Cancel orders affected by pricing errors
Request additional verification before shipment
If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, the appropriate amount will be refunded.
11. Payment
Payment must be successfully authorized before an order is processed.
By submitting payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the selected payment method.
Transactions may be subject to security screening and fraud-prevention measures.
12. Fraud Prevention
Harbor Appliance may maintain records reasonably necessary to prevent return and payment fraud.
These may include:
Product serial numbers
Manufacturer labels
Unique identifying marks
Security markings
Product photographs
Packaging photographs
Shipment weights
Tracking information
Returned merchandise must be the same item originally supplied by Harbor Appliance.
Attempted product swapping, removal or alteration of identifying information, false claims of non-delivery, fraudulent payment disputes, or other deceptive activity may result in refusal of the return and other remedies permitted by law.
13. Shipping
Shipping estimates are estimates and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated.
Harbor Appliance is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including carrier delays, weather, natural disasters, transportation interruptions, incorrect addresses, customs delays, or other unforeseen events.
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address.
14. Risk of Loss
Risk of loss and responsibility for merchandise transfer in accordance with applicable law and the shipping method used.
If an order arrives damaged, please retain the merchandise and packaging and contact Harbor Appliance promptly so that we can assist with the carrier claim or replacement process.
15. Returns and Refunds
Returns, exchanges, cancellations, and refunds are governed by the Harbor Appliance Return & Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service.
Customers should review that policy before placing an order.
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
16. Warranties
Products are covered only by warranties expressly stated on the applicable product page or provided by the manufacturer.
Except where prohibited by law, Harbor Appliance does not provide warranties beyond those expressly stated.
Used products may have limited warranties or functional guarantees as specified on the applicable listing.
Manufacturer warranties, when available, are subject to the manufacturer's own terms and eligibility requirements.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Harbor Appliance will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the purchase, installation, use, misuse, failure, or inability to use a product.
This includes, where permitted by law, losses arising from:
Equipment downtime
Lost business
Lost revenue
Lost profits
Lost production
Spoiled goods
Labor charges
Service-call charges
Installation costs
Removal costs
Damage caused by improper installation
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, Harbor Appliance's liability will be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
18. Commercial Equipment Downtime
Customers purchasing parts for laundromats, apartment laundry rooms, hotels, businesses, or other commercial operations acknowledge that mechanical equipment may experience downtime.
Harbor Appliance does not guarantee that shipment or installation of a replacement component will restore equipment by a particular date or prevent business interruption.
Customers remain responsible for their own equipment maintenance, diagnosis, repair, and contingency planning.
19. Third-Party Manufacturers and Trademarks
All manufacturer names, trademarks, model numbers, and part numbers remain the property of their respective owners.
References to brands such as Speed Queen, Alliance Laundry Systems, Huebsch, UniMac, Maytag, Whirlpool, Dexter, Electrolux, or other manufacturers are used solely where appropriate to identify compatibility, application, or origin of products.
Such references do not imply affiliation or endorsement unless expressly stated.
